The highly anticipated movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was the most talked-about upcoming release at Comic-Con, according to social media research from Way To Blue.
San Diego's annual convention saw an estimated 1.7 million mentions on social media, with Warner Bros' superhero crossover posting 248,960 mentions with 24,550 tweets showing an intent-to-view the film when it hits cinemas in 2016. Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder brought three of the movie's stars - Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot - to present brief teaser footage and unveil the first picture of the new-look Wonder Woman. Gadot's superheroine posted 149,316 mentions thanks to a online launch of her in costume.

The new film is currently being written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
The film is set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, and is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment. Distributed by Warner Bros Pictures.
